GATE 2020 Admit Card has been released on January 3, 2020. All the successfully registered candidates can download their GATE 2020 Admit Card from the official website-appsgate.iitd.ac.in.

As per GATE 2020 paper schedule, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering exam will be held in two sessions while other 23 papers will be held in a single session. A total of 8,58,030 candidates have applied for GATE 2020. GATE will be a 3-hour long computer-based test having 65 multiple-choice questions. GATE 2020 Mock Tests have been released. You can take these mock tests to get an idea about the exam pattern and syllabus.
GATE result 2020 will be declared on March 16 and the scorecard of GATE will be available for download from March 20. GATE Cutoff will be released soon after the release of the result. Candidates who qualify the cutoff scores are eligible for M.Tech admission in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) disciplines offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and STIs. The validity of GATE score is 3 years from the date of declaration of result into PG courses. Top PSUs (Public Sector Units) also accept GATE score for their recruitment process.

GATE Admit Card has been released. You can download GATE 2020 Admit Card by following these simple step:
Step 1: Visit the official website appsgate.iitd.ac.in
Step 2: Enter your GATE Enrollment ID and Password and click Submit.
Step 3: Click on the link available to download GATE 2020 Admit Card
Step 4: Download and take a colored printout of the document
Step 5: Check for any discrepancies, if any.

GATE admit card is a very important document to be carried with you during the time of exam. After downloading it, you should check all the details written on your admit card. Details like Candidate’s Name, Signature, Photo, Exam Date, time and day, instructions, Registration Number, complete address, paper code etc.
Documents Required with GATE 2020 Admit Card
Along with your GATE admit card, you have to carry one valid Photo Id proof to prove your identity like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Employee ID, College ID, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, or Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth & Residential Address.
NOTE: In case of any discrepancy in your admit card, you must report it to the authorities or to your Zonal Office.

GATE 2020 Facts
- GATE 2020 would be the first of the GATE exam with seats reserved for EWS (Economical Weaker Section) aspirants.
- As per the Central Government Amendments, 10% of seats in addition to the existing reservation would be reserved for EWS aspirants.
- Normalization process will be followed to devise the results of candidates.
- It will be the second time (First being GATE 2019) when the paper of Statistics discipline would also be among the papers examined in the entrance test.
- A candidate can appear in the exam for only one discipline of their respective background.
- Biomedical Engineering exam has been introduced in GATE 2020.
