However mathematics section in particular was seen as high in terms of difficulty level, the questions from calculus were challenging as per some of the test takers. Physics was also high in difficulty level, questions were asked from topics like wave optics, projectile, resistance, magnetic field, modern physics etc. Numerical value based questions were moderately difficult.

JEE Main January 7, 2020 B.E/ B.Tech Paper Analysis (Afternoon Shift)

Afternoon shift for B.E/ B. Tech Paper was conducted from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM on January 7, 2020. As per the candidates, the paper was overall of a moderate difficulty level. Chemistry had most of the questions from NCERT and thus was the easiest section out of the three. It got challenging for candidates to attempt the numerical value-based questions in mathematics, as the section was time consuming. Physics was described as the toughest section conceptually by a majority of test takers. However, as in the paper of the morning shift same day, candidates found the paper easier than the last year question papers of JEE Main.
