NEET MDS 2020 Result
NEET MDS result is expected to release on January 20, 2020. The score is valid only for the qualifying year. There are four types of results announced based on the quota allotted:
- All India 50% Quota
- State Quota
- Private Dental Colleges / Institutions / Universities /Deemed Universities
- AFMS Institutions

NEET MDS Tie Breaker Criteria
In the event of two or more candidates obtaining the same marks, the merit position shall be determined using following tie breaker criteria in descending order:
- Candidate who has lesser number of incorrect responses in the overall paper (Part A & B) shall be placed at higher merit position.
- Candidate with higher score in Part B of the question paper shall be placed at higher merit position.
- Candidate who has lesser number of incorrect responses n Part B of the paper shall be placed at higher merit position.
- Failing which, date of birth of the candidate will be taken into consideration. Older candidate will be placed at a better merit position.
NEET MDS 2020 Cut off
NEET MDS Cut off 2020 is determined by the percentile obtained by a candidate. Percentile is calculated on the basis of the highest marks secured in the exam. Candidates should meet NEET MDS Cut off to be eligible for subsequent rounds of the admission process.

NEET MDS Counselling
NEET MDS 2020 Counselling
NEET MDS 2020 Counselling is expected to begin on March 14, 2020. The counselling will be conducted online and candidates will be asked to visit the allotted college/institution for document verification. Counselling for different quota will be conducted by different bodies at separate schedules

NEET MDS 2020 Reservation
For information regarding reservations in institutions for DGHS counselling, candidates should visit the official website for Medical Counseling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in).

- For States / Union Territories – 50% State Quota Seats and Private Dental Colleges / Institutes / Universities /Deemed Universities
- Reservation policy and guidelines applicable in different states / union territories of India will be followed for the respective state / union territory quota seats.
- NBE shall be providing only the data of candidates and the marks scored by them in NEET – MDS to the State Goverments / Counseling Authority without applying the reservation prevalent in the concered states / Private Dental Colleges / Institutes / Universities/
- The merit list and category wise merit list for the concerned state shall be generated by the State themselves as per applicable regulations, qualifying criteria, applicable guidelines and reservation policies.
- 10 Centres are identified for issuing of PwD certificate for 50% AIQ and Central Institutions / Universities.
- EWS reservation: 10 % seats of the total intake capacity at a Government Dental College where additional seats have been allocated for implementation of EWS quota shall be reserved for candidates belonging to EWS category.
For Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions
- Candidates opting for admission to MDS seats in Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Institutions shall select the following option in the NEET – MDS 2020 online application form: Are you willing to opt for PG Courses in Armed Forces Medical Services – Yes / No?
- There is no reservation of seats for SC / ST / OBC / PH candidates in the Armed Forces Medical Institutions.
NEET MDS 2020 Eligibility
The basic eligibility for application for NEET MDS 2020 is:
- Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery
- One-year Internship in a recognized Dental college
Eligibility Criteria for All India 50% Quota Seats
- Candidates who have studied/passed BDS from Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for 50% All India Quota seats.
- Candidates who were nominated by the Government of India to do BDS in J&K shall be eligible to apply for admission.
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals
There is no compulsory mandate for foreign nationals to be registered with the DCI at the time of NEET MDS conduction. In the case of foreign nationals, the following procedure is to be complied with:
- The council may, after fee payment, offer temporary registration for the duration of post-graduate training restricted to the dental college/ institution.
NEET MDS 2020 Application Form
NEET MDS 2020 Application Form can be filled online through NBE Website. The application form consists of four major steps:
Step 1: Profile Creation
Candidates applying for the first time on NBE Website will be asked to create a profile. Candidates who have applied earlier can use their login details. They will be asked to enter a Captcha for security reasons. The following sequence shall be observed while filling the online application form:
- Fill the registration form for obtaining User ID and Password
- User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email Id
- Fill the application form and upload your photograph and signature
- Choose your test city
- Submission of fees
- Take a print out of the filled Application form with Transacation ID printed on it.
Step 2: Filling of Application
The first step in filling up of NEET MDS Application Form is a selection of the exam from the drop-down. Candidates must opt for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Master of Dental Surgery to proceed
Candidates will be taken to the personal information page and asked to fill in the below details:

- Category of the candidate
- Quota Applied for based on eligibility – Candidates can select from All India 50% Quota, State Quota,

Candidates will be asked to fill the Educational Details like BDS Exam and Internship Details. It is mandatory to upload a Government Proof and DCI Certificate for verification purposes.

Step 3: Selection of Exam Schedule and Center
NEET MDS 2020 was conducted all across the country. Candidates can select the NEET MDS Exam Center based on their accessibility. The centre was allotted on first come first serve basis. Candidate could also select a comfortable time from the given schedule. The exam was conducted for 4 days and In 2 sessions per day.

- The candidate will have to choose the city that they wish to take the test in at the time of online submission of application form. Selection will be dependent on the availability of test centers in a chosen city and allotment of the center will be done on first come first serve basis.
- Allotment of test-center/ venue in the selected city shall be done by NBE.
- If a seat is not available in the state that the candidate wishes to partake the exam in, the candidate may select the OTHERS option from the list of states at the time of selection of the state during online submission of the application form.
- Candidates who have complications in their test centers allotments will be notified the final details by November 20, 2019. Candidates will be informed regarding their test venue in the chosen city approximately 7 days before the examination day.
- All candidates at the center shall be frisked by security guards and biometric information shall be captured.
- Identity checks will be made upon arrival at the test center to ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the test. Candidates are required to cooperate with the security checks.
- Friends or relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed entry in the test center under any circumstances and will not be allowed to contact the candidate while the examination process is ongoing.
- Candidates may note that they will not be allowed entry to the test center after 1:30 PM.
