Takshashila Mahavidyalaya is one of the oldest institutions established in 1984 by Shri. Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust that runs 27 other institutes including schools and colleges. It has a spacious campus located in the beautiful city of Amravati. It provides 14 different courses including UG, PG and certificate courses. Certificate courses provided here are unique because subjects of these courses are PC & Hardware Maintenance, Beauty Culture, Garments Manufacturing and Basic Fashion Design. College has a nominal fee structure and admission in UG course is based on merit of 12th-class exams.

Hostel Facility: College has Hostel facility available for both boys and girls with hostels having common rooms and canteen. Transportation facility to and from the college is also available.

Scholastic Centre: College also has a separate centre for scholastic students to assist them in their study. Computer labs are also available for assisting students in learning. Social and cultural activities are also conducted in the campus including Blood donation camps, Meditation camps; Awareness drives, etc.

Qualified Faculty: College also has a team of highly educated teachers. All the teachers have their PG degrees with some of them even having MPhil and Ph.D. degrees.
