"The Little Flower’s School" is the dream child of the Late Mr. John Pereira. his concern for the education of the local children was unimaginable, especially in the 1930's when education was not given too much importance.
This dream grew into a reality and "The Little Flower's School" was born in June 1935, with 8 Girls and 7 Boys with one teacher. All housed in the sprawling verandah of the Pereira’s family house.
In 1943, the school shifted into a single ground floor structure at its present site in Gundowli.
In 1982 The Little Flower's School become The Little Flower's High School.
In 1985 – the Golden Jubilee year of the school: Mr. Tarasingh Nagpal, a close friend of the school laid the foundation stone. The same was blessed by Rev. Fr. Orville Coutinho sdb. With this the 1st phase of the New School building was completed in 1989.
In 1995- The Little Flower’s High School celebrated its Diamond Jubilee. The school completed 60 years in the field of education. The inaugural function was held on 14th June 1995 in the school premises. The function began with the Holy Mass with Rev. Fr. Tony Fonseca as the Chief Celebrant. The Chief Guest of the inaugural function was Mr. Jagtap- a renowned Marathi author and poet.
'Double Swastika' insignia, the symbol was chosen to represent the Diamond Jubilee.
The 'Double Swastika' means– a combination of the male and female aspects of life, for attainment of perfection.
The Little Flower’s High School adopts this Indian symbol to represent its endeavor to cultivate a holistic formation in its pursuit to create integrated and complete individuals.
A Scholarship Fund was introduced to encourage the students to excel academically.
La Fluerette- a 3 nite Fun-n-fete was organized on the 13th October 1995 to 15th October 1995 as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The Finale of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations was held on 2nd March 1996 in presence of Sr.Mary Gonzaga – the very first student of the school way back in 1935. The theme of the Finale was ‘Dancing Down the Ages and the show- stopper of the function was the ‘Fashion Show’ choreographed by Dr. Godrej Wankadia. The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Dakappa, Principal, Somaiyya Group of Colleges, Somaiyya Group of Colleges, Vidyavihar, Mumbai.
2010- School celebrated Platinum Jubilee (75 years in the field of education). The Platinum Jubilee celebrations began with the Holy Mass on 1st Oct 2009 with Fr. Larry Pereira S.J. as the chief celebrant.
5th February 2011- The Finale of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Roger Pereira; Guru in the Advertising field. And the Guest of Honour was four times Billiards Champion: Guinness Book Record holder: Dronacharya awardee;Padmabhushan Mr. Michael Ferreira.
The mind dazzling 'Carnival' presented by our students was the 'show- stopper' of the grand finale function.
In 2015- The Little Flower's High School celebrated its "OAK JUBILEE". Bishop Bosco released the Coffee Table Book- A Dream…A Legacy A Journey of an Institution on 1st October 2015. This Coffee Book showcases the journey of the school for last 8 decades.
